For a photographer who never wanted to focus on people it’s funny how all of my professional work became all about people with weddings being my primary focus.

I remember when a friend asked me to second shoot a wedding he was doing for the grooms father as a favor to a friend. I didn’t know much about photographing weddings so I started looking around and stumbled on the subject of “wedding photojournalism”, telling the story of the wedding day. This led me to my greatest inspiration, Joe Buissink, whose work perfectly captured this idea. So while some of my wedding work was still the grand portraits, what I really loved was the moments, the emotion.

Make no mistake though, I’m retired and not for hire and only work on personal projects these days. This section is just to document and important part of my life.
