Zines and Book
Collections

I firmly believe every photographer should print their work. Rolling through endless thumbnails on your phone just isn’t the same as pulling a book off your bookshelf and then turning pages on some of your favorite work. For years I’d been hoping to do this, I guess retirement is the time for it.

As I currently spend most of my time in Ecuador it does add a few challenges to this. I can’t buy a larger print run of books at discount and sell and mail them out myself. I’m totally dependent on print on demand options. This other impact of this is since I never handle the books I have no way to offer a signed or personalized copy at this time.

The first books in the monograph series are printed through Amazon KDP, not ideal for photo books to be sure, but for a low cost ‘zine - it allows me to put copies in the hands of my friends and family on a retirees fixed income.

The next set will be published through Blurb, much better photo print quality, but much more expensive as well. At this time the Blurb magazine options for future ‘zines can’t be sold through Amazon so will be linked on the Blurb storefront. As for the photobooks I’ll likely experiment and list some on Amazon and some of Blurb.
